Role of Parents

The role of parents, grandparents, guardians, nannies, etc is to show enthusiasm and excitement for the activities performed on the field. It is important to the development of each child that they are enjoying and having fun with the experience. We also ask that the responsible party bringing the player arrives on time.

Siblings

Babies: They are welcome to observe the classes. We ask that they stay out of the area being used by the class. Parents are responsible for occupying young ones so that class is not interrupted. It is suggested that toys are brought to occupy the babies.

Other Siblings: They are welcome to observe the class. We will not allow them to participate in the class. These children are asked to stay off the playing area. It is suggested that parents bring something to occupy the child’s interest during class.

Regarding Disciplining Players during Class

Improved Performance believes in the 3 strikes you are out philosophy. First strike consists of a verbal warning. Second strike will result in a physical activity (push-up, sit-ups, running, etc.). Third strike is the final act and the child will be asked to sit on the bench for duration of time based on the instructor’s discretion. The disruptive child will be asked to come back onto the playing field based after this time out. If three strikes occurs instructor will speak with the parent after class has ended.

Common class disruptions:

Lack of listening
Not following directions
Speaking out of place
Not keeping hands to yourself
Crying player
